We had a great time when Grammy, Poppy and Jack came to visit last month. Jack was a surprise guest and the kids were thrilled. We filled the days with adventure and the week flew by too quickly!
Grammy and Poppy, not only brought cousin Jack, but 50 + pounds of Crud Gringos Need in Mexico (from home). Their suitcases were filled with Christmas gifts, Neosporin, special coffee from Ryan, ranch dip mix, gravy mix, taco seasoning, new games, current magazines in English, pink sweats, a wetsuit, surf booties and a variety of other goodies for us to enjoy!
Rory and Jack decided that they could open a tienda here called........(you know it) "Crud Gringos Need in Mexico" and make enough money to live here and surf until they are old and gray!
We spent a beautiful day on my favorite beach, La Lancha. Jack proved to be quite the surfer. The waves were perfect for all, we had a picnic lunch and enjoyed the perfect afternoon. Rory took some fun video from out in the waves as Jack and Reilly showed off their surfing talents.
We had family dinners in the palapa...........
and cozy movie nights.
We also had amazing adventures.........
Since we had arrived in Sayulita we had been looking for an excuse to go to the PV water park. Look no further, this was it. We jumped on the opportunity, as an added bonus there was also a dolphin adventure at the same park. Why not.....especially since a swim with dolphins was on Grammy's bucket list. Words really can't explain this amazing day, good thing there is video.
The water park was lots of fun also and empty of people (no lines).
I took this picture while we were waiting to see the Sea Lion show. As you may notice Rowan is missing. We didn't realize this until after we had taken the picture and were having some snacks. We had left Rowan, all the way on the other side of the park, playing in the water slides. A few moments of panic ensued but all was well and I'm not sure he even knew we were gone.
The water park was really clean and had lots of slides and pools to choose from.
There may have been a dolphin or two swimming in our pool.
Jake Jake the Heart A Take!
Wednesday night was poker night and although Grammy and Poppy were quite the 'Hold Em' competitors it was 'Jake Jake the Heart a Take' who took home the winnings.
Of course, there was more surfing.
Everything was going great until Jack tried to catch Ron's SUP with his head. Amazingly, Jack's head was tougher than Ron's board and they both kept right on catching waves.
Jack and Regan had the best seat in the jeep on the way back to the Casa.
The trip would not have been complete without a sunset at San Pancho.
Sunset goes hand in hand with happy hour.....don't the Margaritas look tasty.
We were lucky enough to be there for a sea turtle release. Although, I have seen it several times now it never gets old. I am stunned that these little tiny critters, just a day old, work their way down the beach to the surf. They are released at sunset so they will have a little head start on their predators
(thats what I'm told anyway).
It was a fabulous week with family and after all the chaos......
Finally, a moment to appreciate the view.
Thank you again! What great pic's and stories to go with them. I know it's LOT's of work, but it is sooo good to see everyone (except you:() and what fun you are having. Have a beer - then post some more!! I saw Stellalita (the mexican Rotti! Sooo cute)
